Once upon a time, people knew where every bite of their food came from. If they didn’t grow it themselves, they knew who did. The benefits of knowing your farmer and eating local food — support for local agriculture; healthier, more nutrient-dense food picked and bought at the peak of freshness; and a feeling that’s difficult to describe yet weirdly familiar — are real.
Luckily, the River Valley has a place to connect with the local food system in the most modern way — Russellville Community Market. Simply sign up to be a member online and then browse the website, click what you want, and pick it up on the next Tuesday 4 – 6:30p.m. at the Main Street Russellville Train Depot.
